In Mexico, a Ukrainian sailor who was a member of the crew of the Cypriot cargo ship Panamax Alexander was found dead. This was announced to RBC-Ukraine by the director of the consular service department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Sergey Pogoreltsev.
According to him, the Ukrainian Embassy in Mexico received a message about the loss of a Ukrainian citizen who was a member of the crew on the way to the Mexican port in the city of Mazatlán.
“After detecting the absence of a sailor on board the ship, the captain began a search for a crew member at the scene of a possible fall into the sea and the incident was reported to the port administration of the city of Mazatlán. Funds from the Mexican Navy were lured by the search. The same day, May 10, the body of a Ukrainian citizen was found by local fishermen, “the report said.
A criminal case has been launched due to the fact that the Mexican police agencies are investigating. The Ukrainian Embassy in Mexico is taking steps to search for relatives of the deceased citizen of Ukraine.
Furthermore, RBC-Ukraine wrote that in the Netherlands they found a dead Ukrainian from the Regal Princess ship. The body of the deceased was found in the water overboard.
