In Ukraine, since the beginning of May, the opening of the bathing season, 21 people drowned. People have already started visiting bodies of water without following quarantine recommendations. This was reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
“It seems that the Ukrainians have already opened the swimming season and, without following the recommendations of the quarantine, have begun to visit the bodies of water. The consequences of such an indifferent attitude towards their own safety did not take long: only since the beginning of May, the water has already claimed 21 lives, “said the message.
It is clarified that on May 8 in Chernigov, on the lake in front of people, a 17-year-old man drowned. The man’s body was discovered at the bottom of the reservoir at a distance of about five meters from the shore.
On the same day, a man born in 1999, a resident of the village of Lavrovka, Vinnitsa district, disappeared in Vinnitsa.
Rescue teams also specified that in the Cherkasy region they managed to save two young men, ages 19 and 20, from drowning. Both boys went fishing, but fell in a storm and did not return to land.
Recall that on Friday May 1, a man drowned in the Donetsk region. He was trying to get his daughter out of a car that had fallen into a pond.
We also said that in Kiev the driver lost control and allowed the car to enter the Rusanovsky Canal. An indifferent passerby pulled the victims out of the river of ice; Thanks to this, the incident passed without victims.
