The exit of Ukrainian citizens outside the country without the official permission of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is prohibited. Only those Ukrainians permanently residing abroad can leave the state territory.
This was reported by the press service of the British embassy on its Facebook page.
“The Ukrainian authorities informed us that only Ukrainian citizens with permanent residence in other states may leave the territory of Ukraine,” said diplomats.
According to their information, those citizens who have the necessary documents must request permission from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to leave. Also, if the embassy of the country where the person wants to go is notified of the trip no later than 72 hours before crossing the border, then they agree to help with the issuance of this permit.
“The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs may allow Ukrainian citizens with a residence permit in the United Kingdom to leave. The British Embassy supports this process by informing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of their planned trip and sending them information on their resident status of the United Kingdom, “said British diplomats.
Representatives of the diplomatic mission also said the new rules cover both direct flights to the United Kingdom and border crossings with countries that have air links to the kingdom.
The embassy opened up the possibility of such applications to leave only the owners of Ukraine’s biometric British residence permits and noted that it would not be able to help those who have visas of any kind but not BRP. This makes it impossible, in particular, to leave temporary workers in Britain under this procedure.
Recall that the Ukrainian authorities previously did not allow migrant workers to work abroad.
Earlier, we wrote that President Vladimir Zelensky during a briefing in Transcarpathia said that Ukraine will not prevent workers from leaving abroad, but will be subject to an employment contract for at least three months.
