In South Korea, a new outbreak of COVID-19

All bars and clubs closed in Seoul due to new coronavirus outbreak

In the South Korean capital, all bars and nightclubs were urgently closed due to a new outbreak of coronavirus infection.

Seoul authorities announced the emergency shutdown of all bars and clubs in the city in connection with a new coronavirus outbreak. On Saturday, May 9, Yonhap reported.

City officials made this decision after detecting 18 new cases of COVID-19 in Seoul. In addition, as the publication points out, 17 people were infected by the same man.

The infection was spread by a 29-year-old Yenin resident, who visited several clubs and bars in Seoul in the Itaewon district on May 1.

According to authorities, around 1,500 people could contact a man.

Authorities asked everyone who visited bars and clubs in Itaewon in early May to pass the tests and sit in their homes in isolation.

South Korea, after May 6, began introducing quarantine relief after only a few cases of infection were reported in the country.

Now the country has a regime of social distance. As of May 9, there are almost 11,000 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in South Korea.

Previously, South Korea was included in the list of coronavirus winners.
