On Saturday, May 9, in Ukraine, 495 events were held with the participation of almost 9 thousand people on the Day of Victory over Nazism in World War II. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the press service of the National Police.

According to the police, law enforcement officers received 93 complaints of possible violations. After its development, 4 criminal proceedings were opened and 20 administrative protocols were drawn up.

Then, 2 criminal proceedings were opened in the Sumy and Lugansk regions due to the use of the prohibited symbols of totalitarian regimes, 2 other proceedings were opened in the Donetsk and Kiev region. Most of the protocols developed are related to the use of the St. George’s tape or the violations of the quarantine rules.

“In accordance with eight administrative protocols, compiled under Art. 173-3 of KUoAP (in the Dnipropetrovsk, Nikolaev, Odessa and Kiev city regions) and in accordance with Art. 153 KUoAP (in the Ternopil region) and one, according to article 185 KUoAP (in the Odessa region), “said the police.

We will remember, previously it was reported that in Kiev the police authorities developed four administrative protocols during the Victory Day events over Nazism. The violations related to the current legislation on decommunization and the established quarantine regulations.

Furthermore, RBC-Ukraine wrote that in Odessa, the party and Soviet flags were removed from the demonstration, and also attacked a journalist. Clashes took place in Zaporozhye, where the pro-Russian organization “Victory Regiment” held a rally. Activists removed Soviet symbols from cars.
