Rescuers noted that the open burning was removed 33 minutes after reporting a fire.
Moscow Deputy Mayor for Social Development Anastasia Rakova said the patient died, that there were no other victims, TASS notes.
According to preliminary information, a source from the emergency services agency said the cause of the fire was a ventilator malfunction: in the burning hospital building, where more than 100 patients with COVID-19 were treated, there was an intensive care unit.
