Sony is set to launch its new Xperia 5 II smartphone this year, and thanks to the LetsGoDigital resource, it’s now possible to see conceptual renderings.

The new product will reportedly be able to operate on fifth-generation (5G) mobile networks. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor and Snapdragon X55 modem are likely to be used.

The Xperia 5 II is said to be the most compact 5G smartphone on the market. The screen size will be 5.8 or even 5.6 inches diagonally.

Judging by the renderings, the front camera is placed in a small hole in the center at the top of the screen. The main camera is supposed to receive a three module configuration with optical elements arranged in a row vertically.

The smartphone will receive a symmetric USB Type-C port and a standard 3.5mm headphone jack. On the side parts, the physical control buttons are visible.

The devices are credited with 8GB of RAM and a 256GB flash drive. The phone will be available in different color variants.

The premiere of Xperia 5 II is expected in the first days of September. The price is rumored to be around 800 euros.
