Almost 130,000 people participated in the services at Easter.

This was reported by the Chief of the Ukrainian National Police Igor Klimenko on Facebook.

“Almost 130,000 citizens participated in worship services. Today we can say that citizens have shown legal awareness and listened to our calls to comply with quarantine restrictions,” he said.

According to him, in total, celebrations were held in 13,658 temples in all regions of the state. 26,500 police and military personnel of the Ukrainian National Guard provided public security and order.

In addition, over the past 24 hours, there were more than ten church worshipers, even without personal protective equipment, in nineteen religious buildings in thirteen provinces. The police prepared three administrative reports and initiated a criminal process. The rest of the materials are carefully considered for a legitimate decision. The police continue to work in enhanced mode.

Therefore, violations of quarantine restrictions were recorded during worship services in the Donetsk region, four, in Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporizhia and in the city of Kiev, two each, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne, Odessa, Ternopil, Kharkiv, Cherkasy and Cherkasy. .

At this time, the police have prepared three administrative reports under art. 44-3 (Violation of the rules on quarantine of persons) of the Code of Ukraine on administrative offenses in the Zaporizhzhya, Rivne and Chernihiv regions.

Previously, the Interior Ministry asked Ukrainian citizens to refrain from attending churches at Easter.

Recall that in Lviv for Easter will also close all temples.

In addition, in Volyn, Lviv and Transcarpathia, as well as in the Chernivtsi and Kyiv Oblasts, the maximum restriction regime will be introduced on weekends and holidays.
