There is no radiation pollution in the capital, but Kiev is advised to stay at home for a few more days.

This was stated by the mayor of Kiev, Vitali Klitschko, on one of the television channels, reports TSN.

As Klitschko said, on Friday morning he traveled to the exclusion zone to see the situation with his own eyes and to verify the background of the radiation.

“Burning peatlands, forests: the level of air pollution has gone beyond dangerous limits. Therefore, the advice is to stay home. We hope that in a few days they will finish extinguishing fires and that the normal situation will resume. I assure that there is no radiation in Kiev, “he stressed.

Klitschko also urged Kyiv residents to close windows on their homes.
