The Ministry of Health declares that Ukraine managed to avoid the maximum incidence
The coronavirus situation allows quarantine mitigation in Ukraine to begin on May 11. This was announced in a briefing by the Minister of Health, Maxim Stepanov, reports RBC-Ukraine.
Stepanov noted that quarantine measures prevented the maximum incidence of coronavirus in Ukraine.
“We take a different path from that of European countries. We understand that people are tired of quarantine, and I want to emphasize once again that we analyze the situation every day and prepare mitigations from May 11th. On May 11th we will do mitigations, as the situation today allows it, “added Stepanov.
Remember, despite Cabinet bans, as of May 1, several large cities have already started quarantining. In particular, shops and parks are opened in Cherkasy, Zhitomir and the Dnieper.
Please note that the current relaxation of quarantine restrictions concerns the operation of food markets. This week, the government allowed the opening of almost 900 markets, subject to strict sanitary standards that relate to the safe distance between sellers and buyers in the markets, as well as personal protective equipment and antiseptics.
