The situation with the spread of the coronavirus in several European countries, including Ukraine, is worrying.

Optimistic signals coming from Spain, Germany, France, Italy and other European countries. But they are overshadowed by messages from the United Kingdom, Ukraine, Russia, Turkey and Belarus. The coming weeks are “critical to Europe,” said the director of the WHO European Regional Office. Hans KlugeReuters reports.

Kluge thanked everyone who observed the restrictions during the Catholic Easter celebration last week, and urged them to continue observing this coming weekend when Easter will be celebrated with Orthodox Christians.

“While in some countries the number of newly detected cases of COVID-19 infection is declining, in some countries the full effect of the coronavirus is not yet felt,” he said.
