Shakhtar CEO Sergei Palkin spoke about the cancellation of the Premier League 13th round first leg against Ingulets, which did not take place due to the unavailability of the pitch at the Zirka Stadium in Kropyvnytskyi.
– Shakhtar’s last match in 2020 with Ingulets was canceled. What do you think about that?
– The “Ingulets” should think more about this, not about us. We arrived, the team was there and ready to play. They decided to save on heating and for some reason they didn’t turn it on for a long time. Still, we were even willing to help, but technically it no longer made sense, because in one day the field heating system wouldn’t even have time to speed up. Now the FTC will make a decision. From what I am familiar with the regulations, in fact there is 90% that it will be a technical loss.
– What is Shakhtar’s position in this situation? What should be the solution?
– And today we are generally out of this field. What is needed, on our part, we have done. So the FTC decides: the ball is on your side. Let them make a decision, although, from my point of view, it is obvious.
