51% of Ukrainians do not trust Zelensky

According to the results of a survey conducted by the Sociological Group “Rating”, the level of trust in the current president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, is higher than that of his predecessors Petro Poroshenko and Viktor Yanukovych during the same term.

The current president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, tops the ranking of trustworthiness of Ukrainians among key politicians: 44% of Ukrainians trust him, 51% do not. This is demonstrated by the results of a survey carried out by the Sociological Group “Rating”.

Also, the confidence rating looks like this:

  • the co-chairman of the parliamentary faction “Opposition platform – For life” Yuriy Boyko – 24% trust, 58% no;
  • head of the Batkivshchyna faction Yulia Tymoshenko – 22% trust, 74% do not;
  • the fifth president of Ukraine, the people’s deputy of “European Solidarity” Petro Poroshenko – 22% trust, 75% do not trust.

At the same time, according to the group “Rating”, the rating of confidence of Ukrainians in Zelensky is higher than that of Poroshenko (25%) and former president Viktor Yanukovych (26%) for the same term.

The results of the survey, which the Rating group conducted in July, showed that 41% of Ukrainians trust Zelensky, 53% do not.

The survey was conducted from August 29 to September 3 using the method CATI: computer-assisted telephone interview based on a random sample of mobile phone numbers. During the study, 10,000 people over the age of 18 were interviewed throughout Ukraine, with the exception of the temporarily occupied areas of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, as well as the Crimea. The error in the representativeness of the study does not exceed 1.0%.

In the second round of the presidential elections, which took place on April 21, 2019, 73.22% voted for Zelensky Ukrainians, for Poroshenko – 24.45%.
