CEC confirms 34 cases of Covid-19 among employees

At the same time, 71 of the 281 employees are on sick leave, although some continue to work remotely.

At the Central Election Commission, 34 employees were diagnosed with COVID-19. This was reported by the CEC press service on Friday, October 9.

“The CEC confirmed 34 cases of coronavirus. 71 of the 281 workers are now on sick leave. Many of them continue to work remotely. We thank our colleagues for their understanding and we are proud of all,” the statement said.

Now the CEC is taking all possible security measures: temperature control of workers twice a day, examination by doctors of people suspected of having a disease or who have been in contact with patients, through ventilation and disinfection of the facilities, minimization of contacts, etc.

“Given the complexity of the electoral process, we note that we continue working to ensure adequate preparation and conduct of the elections,” said the CCA.

We will recall that previously Shmygal gave instructions on the situation with COVID-19. The head of government gave a series of instructions, in particular, to study the possibility of using departmental hospitals to increase beds.
