Only 3% of the population has had coronavirus, according to the Ministry of Health
Now seasonal respiratory infections are superimposed on the incidence of the coronavirus, notes the Ministry of Health.
In Ukraine, about 3% of the population has been sick with coronavirus. This assessment of the Center for Public Health was expressed by the Deputy Minister of Health, Irina Mikichak, in an interview with Telegraph.
“According to operational data from the Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health, about 3% of the population of Ukraine has already been ill with covid,” Mikichak said.
He clarified that about 20% of patients are admitted to hospitals with complications, so treatment lasts a long time, the course of the disease is difficult to predict. Patients not only need special conditions, post-syndrome drug treatment, but also respiratory oxygen support, requiring special long-term care.
Mikichak noted that there is now progressive growth, which overlaps with the increasing seasonal incidence of respiratory infections.
The deputy minister also said that during the pandemic, 327 doctors out of 35,707 patients died from the coronavirus.
According to the Ministry of Health, the rate of spread of the coronavirus in Ukraine has slowed down. Now the incidence rate of COVID-19 in the country is 492.2 per 100,000 inhabitants with a rate of 40. The same incidence rate in the country was the previous day, and in the last four days it has increased only 1.8. At the same time, last week this number increased by 10 almost daily.
