During the last day, 1,009 patients with coronavirus or suspected coronavirus were hospitalized.

In Ukraine, patients with or suspected of having coronavirus occupied 22,977 beds in hospitals designated for infectious patients during the epidemic. This was during a briefing on Wednesday October 21, Health Minister Maxim Stepanov said.

“During the last day, 1,009 people were hospitalized. As of this morning, there are 22,977 people in beds (in hospitals). These are people who have already been confirmed with COVID-19 or are suspected of being in hospitals due to their condition, due to the severity of the disease, “he added. – says the message.

He noted that 318 children and 365 health workers fall ill with coronavirus every day. 141 deaths were recorded. At the same time, 2,686 patients recovered.

According to the minister, a total of 62,869 coronavirus tests were carried out the previous day. Of these, 32,729 were performed by PCR and by ELISA – 30,140 studies.

As reported, in Ukraine as of October 21, 31 5826 COVID-19 cases were laboratory confirmed, of which 6719 per day.

Yesterday it was reported that 68.4% of the 33,919 hospital beds for patients with coronavirus are occupied.
