People’s deputies will travel to Donbass at their own expense and hold meetings with local residents and the military.
A group of people’s deputies from the Servant of the People faction will go to Donbass on October 21, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said during an appeal to the Verkhovna Rada on Tuesday, October 20.
“I am very happy that tomorrow 120 deputies from the Servant of the People party will go to Donbass. Not to Turkey, not to the Maldives, as before. The deputies will go to the front. for our military and locals. ” Peace in Donbass and unemployment in Crimea are my key priorities, “Zelensky said.
Before the Rada meeting, the head of the People’s Servants faction, David Arakhamia, said that those who wanted to go were determined by vote.
The deputies travel on their own, they will be divided according to the sectors of the region.
During the trip, the people’s deputies will communicate with the military, representatives of the OSCE and the local population.
Arahamia maintains that the pre-election trip is not an election campaign. The faction was going to leave earlier, but it was not possible to gather all the people’s deputies.
