Florida coach Dan Mullen was asked Monday how difficult it will be to manage a 10-game conference-only schedule and prepare for two additional opponents with the season so close.

“We will play whoever they put in front of us,” he said. “We had 10 really good football teams last year (with Miami and FSU). We have 10 really good teams on the schedule this year. I think there were a few more neighborhoods last year, a little more space in between.

‘But it’s what it is. Look at the draw we got, from whom we added. I saw some people involved. Do not say I’m happy, I will not say I’m overwhelmed. … You will always play a really good team every week. That we are just ready to play. ”

The matchup with the Razorbacks will pit the Gators pit against Feleipe Franks, who transferred to Arkansas after last season. While the game features several intriguing storylines, Mullen does not look forward to the face of his former starting quarterback.

‘It’s going to be a unique deal. Of course not ideal, for me. I do not think for him or us, ‘said Mullen. ‘Of course I have great respect for Feleipe as a person. I think he’s a great young man, I’m so happy for what he did here for our program, and how he treated himself. He was always a first class person, and I was really excited for him to get this whole, fresh start for one year of college – sort of a re-do.

“By playing them this year, things bring that up. I do not know how good that is for anyone. But it will be unique. I know he will be motivated to play us. I’m sure our boys probably will. will be motivated to play him because it’s a little more personal, you know him. I do not know if that’s a great thing or not. “
