What will he do: It will prevent state courts from declaring abortion bans unconstitutional at the state level.

What will he do: Prohibition of abortion from 22 weeks of pregnancy. The measure includes exceptions to save the life of the pregnant woman but not to instances of rape or incest. Doctors who continue to have abortions at 22 weeks may face penalties.

What will he do: Continue to treat ride-oil and delivery drivers as independent contractors with the exception of some of the benefits offered by the proposal. If it does not pass, those workers will likely be considered employees who will receive a minimum wage, overtime pay, workers’ compensation, unemployment insurance, and paid sick leave.

Marijuana

What will he do: Allow adults 21 years of age or older to hold, consume or transfer up to one ounce of marijuana and create a regulatory system for the cultivation and sale of products.

Mississippi Initiative 65

What it will do: Allow physicians to recommend medical cannabis for any 22 qualified patients, such as cancer, multiple sclerosis, and post-traumatic stress disorder.

Mississippi Initiative 65a

What it will do: Limit medical cannabis smoking to people who are temporarily ill, and leave the future regulatory framework to the legislature.

What it will do: 21 Amend the state constitution to establish 21 as the legal age for the purchase, possession and use of cannabis.

What it will do: Allow adults in the state to possess, purchase and use marijuana for recreational use and define a 20% tax on recreational cannabis. It will allow people convicted of cannabis-related acts to re-apply or apply for record dissolution.

New Jersey Public Question No. 1

What it will do: Amend the state constitution to legalize cannabis for personal, non-medical use by people 21 and older.

What it will do: Establishment of medical cannabis program and registration system for people with eligible conditions.

What it will do: Legalize cannabis for all adults and state legislators need to adopt medical cannabis and flax laws.

Mississippi flag

Mississippi will vote on a new state flag featuring magnolia in November
Mississippi Ballet Measure 3

What it will do: Approve the new state flag design, after the state legislature retired the 1894 flag this summer, symbolizing the federal war. The new design was taken from 3,000 options and features a magnolia flower surrounded by 20 stars, indicating the state of the 20th. The flag contains the words “In God We Trust” as required by law. If voters decide against the proposed design, the process of choosing a new flag will resume.

What it will do: Record the response of voters to the question: “Should Puerto Rico be granted immediate access to union as a state?” The state eventually became the U.S. capital. Is in the hands of Congress.

Virginia redistricting

What it will do: Create a reconstituted commission consisting of eight members of the General Assembly and eight citizens – responsible for drawing the congressional and legislative districts of the state. The General Assembly, without the Governor, would vote on the districts but could not change them. The Supreme Court of the state will appeal to the districts if the redistribution commission fails to do so or the general meeting does not implement them. Under the current state constitution, the General Assembly and the governor draw new constituencies for the U.S. House of Representatives, the state senate, and delegates.
