The National Veterinary Services Laboratory (NVSL) said the viral genome derived from wild mink is obscured by infected mink in farms around the state.

Coronavirus outbreaks are particularly prevalent in mint farms. In Denmark and other parts of Europe, there have been allegations of widespread spread of millions of mink on farms across the country.
The virus has been found in captured wild animals and dogs and cats, including lions and snow leopards.
