The banks will not only be the new host, but an executive producer, according to an ABC press release obtained by CNN.

“I’ve been a fan of ‘DWTS’ since its inception … Fun was mixed with raw excitement, watching celebrities break through their comfort zones, incredible dance performances … it always carried me back to my days of uploading it. 10 notches on the catwalk, “Banks said in the press release.

“Tom has set a powerful stage, and I am excited to continue the legacy and become my executive producer and host.”

Lifetime host Tom Bergeron released the news on Monday that he will not be returning to the dance competition show after 15 years in his role.

Co-host Erin Andrews will also not be returning.

The decision comes when ABC and BBC Productions, which produce the series, say they are headed in “a new creative direction.”

Bergeron had been a presenter on “Dancing with the Stars” since the show started in 2005. Andrews had been a host since 2014.

Banks started her modeling career as a teenager and got covers of almost every fashion magazine. In 1993 she signed a contract with CoverGirl and became a Victoria’s Secret Angel. She dabbled in acting, starred in “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” and eventually started her own production company, which then produced her hit series, “America’s Next Top Model.”
