Two years after her overdose, Demi Lovato is experiencing ‘more joy’ in her life

The pop star and actress went deep with the promotion of her new documentary “Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil” with “CBS Sunday Morning”, which aired last weekend.

Lovato talked about suffering from eating disorders and substance abuse and how it is now – even when she was recovering from those items before her overdose it was “pathetic”.

These days she says she takes full responsibility for what she eats from her financial year and overdoses, which she says causes multiple strokes and brain damage.

“Regardless of what other people have said or done, my move puts me in the seat in front of you today,” he told CBS. “Unfortunately no one will be able to answer for my overdose except me.”

Lavato said he’s not perfectly healthy, but “healthy in California.” He still occasionally drinks and smokes a little marijuana.

“I’m not really happy about explaining the parameters of my recovery to people,” he said. “Because I don’t want people to look at my safety parameters and think this works for them … because it probably won’t.”

This time, Lovato says, she’s in a better place.

“I feel great,” he said. “I feel more joy than I ever felt in my life because I don’t calm down or shrink any part of myself.”
