An Uber It’s delivery driver, described by relatives as a hard-working Pakistani immigrant grandfather, died in an accident when officials said he was stabbed by two teenage girls in Washington D.C.
The 13-year-old and 15-year-old, whose identities are underage, used a stun gun on the driver Tuesday, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
When replies arrived at the scene, about a block of national park, they saw the victim with fatal injuries, police said. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Mohammed Anwar, 66, of Springfield, Virginia, was identified by his family as the victim, NBC and Washington Shington said. He was working for Uber Eats at the time of the attack, according to relatives and Uber.
“He was a hardworking immigrant who came to the U.S. to build a better life for himself and his family. 201 came in 2014. The loss to his family is immense. The family said in a statement.
Uber expressed condolences to Anwar’s family in a statement.

According to his family, Anwar has a wife and two adult children in the US and an adult son and four grandchildren in Pakistan.
