Twitter on Wednesday said it will not reverse its far-right activist decision and even described “proud Islamophobes” Laura Loomer from her platform to her Republican primary victory in Florida.
“The account owner … was permanently suspended for repeated violations of Twitter rules, and we do not intend to reverse that enforcement action,” a Twitter spokesman told The Hill.
Loomer has been embroiled in controversy for years with a series of poignant remarks that have led to bans on various social media platforms. She has come under fire in particular for a number of blatant anti-Muslim remarks.
After the 2019 massacre of 51 people in Christchurch, New Zealand, she said on the Telegram messaging app that “no one cares about Christchurch. I’m mostly not.”
In 2017, she tweeted “how many more people have to die before everyone agrees that Islam is cancer; and we should never leave another Muslim in the civilized world?”
That same year, she was banned from Uber and Lyft after she tweeted that “someone should create a non-Islamic form of @uber or @lyft.”
She was removed from Twitter in November 2018, after being persistently harassed to Rep. In one of her many tweets about Omar, Loomer claimed that Somali Americans support female genital mutilation because she is Muslim.
A Twitter spokesperson declined to comment on the exact post as action that triggered Loomer’s removal from the platform.
Loomer will face Rep. Lois Frankel (D) in the 21st District of Florida this fall after winning a volume primarily on Tuesday that included multiple supporters of the QAnon conspiracy theory.
Frankel will be the heavy favorite in the fall considering the neighborhoods’ wages. She ran in 2018 unoposed for reelection.
Loomer publicly protested openly against her removal from Twitter, playing herself out at the front doors of New York headquarters.
She was removed from Facebook and Instagram in May 2019.
It’s not just tech companies that have de-platformed Loomer. Last year, the Conservative Political Action Conference banned her after she used her media references to harass reporters.

Trump also retweeted Marjorie Taylor Greene, a QAnon believer who also has a history of bigotry remarks that just won her Republican primary in Georgia when she asked to reinstate Loomer’s Twitter account.
QAnon’s conspiracy theory baselessly claims that Trump is working to expose a group of elites in the Democratic Party and media who are doing an international scheme for child trafficking.
Greene, who also compared Democratic donor George Soros to a Nazi, said the midterms of 2018 were like an ‘Islamic invasion of our government’ and claimed that African Americans were ‘being held slaves for the Democratic Party.’
Unlike Loomer, Greene is a heavy favorite to win her election this fall.
