During a morning tweet storm, that was apparently sparked by a Fox News segment, the president unjustifiably stated that ballot boxes were a ‘voter security disaster’ and a ‘major fraud’, adding that it ‘makes it possible for a person to vote multiple times’ and that they are not “co-sanitized.”
“We are posting a public interest message on this Tweet for violating our civic integration policies to create misleading health requirements that could potentially mislead people from participating in the vote,” he said. the official security account of the social media platform was tweeted on Sunday afternoon. Twitter also notes that the tweet remains on the service because of “the importance of ongoing public conversation.” However, the tweet will remain hidden behind a public message warning users of its misleading claims, and their engagements will be restricted.
In recent months, Twitter has highlighted some of the president’s tweets for violating his terms of service. In late June, for example, the site posted a warning label about Trump’s threat to meet Protestants with “serious force” as they tried to create an autonomous zone near the White House, claiming it violated their policies against abusive behavior.
