(Reuters) – Twitter Inc. on Sunday posted a disclaimer on the tweet of US President Donald Trump criticizing the promotion of dropboxes by Democrats as an option for voters, saying the tweet violates the “citizen’s rules” and electoral integrity “.

“Democrats are now using Mail Drop Boxes, which are a traffic safety for voters. Among other things, they make it possible for a person to vote multiple times. Whoever controls them, will they be placed in Republican or Democratic areas? They are not Covid sanitized. A big fraud! Trump said in a tweet that was posted Sunday morning.

Twitter said in a disclaimer attached to the tweet, “Twitter has determined that it may be in the public interest for the tweet to remain accessible.”

Democrats across the country are promoting dropboxes as an easy and reliable option for voters who do not want to cast their ballots to the U.S. Postal Service. Republican officials in other states have prevented the use.
