Twitch Seems To Ban SayNoToRage After Harassment Accusations

Twitch seems to have banned SayNoToRage, a popular Destination Streamer, after several women said he harassed or touched them without consent.

Their stories played a major role in kicking off the recent wave of harassment and assault allegations from Twitch streamers and other members of the gaming industry. Twitch said last week that it would take the allegations seriously and issue permanent bans in some cases. SayNoToRage has denied the allegations.

The Twitch page for SayNoToRage disappeared Thursday afternoon, suggesting it had been banned. It seems that a second transmitter, Papa_Chau, who had emotional abuse allegations against her more than a year ago, was also banned this afternoon.

Twitch declined to comment or confirm the bans. A spokesperson referred The edge in a blog post published last week, in which the company said it was reviewing the allegations “as quickly as possible” and that it “would begin issuing permanent suspensions based on our findings immediately.”

SayNoToRage initially issued an apology, saying “the things I did were unacceptable”. This morning, she followed up with an hour-long video claiming that the allegations were “false, embellished, and some entirely fabricated.” The edge She has contacted SayNoToRage for comment.

This is the latest in a series of high-profile bans, or possible bans, on Twitch. The service appeared to suspend Dr. Disrespect, one of its most popular streamers, last week (although it has yet to confirm that ban), and on Monday, the service temporarily banned President Trump over comments made during a recent rally.

Several smaller streamers were banned last week after the allegations, Polygon reported.
