TV boss Rachael Ray’s Upstate NY house ‘destroyed’ by fire (photos)

TV chef Rachael Ray’s Upstate New York home was destroyed by fire on Sunday night, according to several reports.

The County Sheriff’s Office told ABC10 that several firefighters were called to a home owned by the famous chef in Lake Lucerne. Photos showed flames shooting through the roof of the house, which is located at Lake Vanare in the Adirondacks region.

“Look at some of the first photos of the fire at @rachaelray’s Lake Lucerne home and it does not look good,” WNYT reporter Mark Mulholland wrote on Twitter.

Witnesses told The Sun Community News that the house was “destroyed” by the flame, believed to have started as a chimney fire at 7.30am Sunday. The fire was ‘completely involved’ and the house could not be saved, said one person at the scene.

Warren County Sheriff Jim LaFarr said no one was injured in the fire.

A Ray spokesman told ET that she, her husband John Cusimano, and her dog Bella were all “safe” after the incident.

“The house is unfortunately damaged and we do not yet know to what extent,” the rep said.

According to the New York Post, Ray had already produced live cooking segments for her talk show during the day during the coronavirus pandemic from the house. The TV series, “The Rachael Ray Show,” is now on summer hiatus.

Ray, 51, is a native of Glen Falls, NY, who has hosted the syndicate “Rachael” show since 2006. She has also written cookbooks, published the magazine “Every Day with Rachael Ray,” and has appeared in television shows such as “30 Minute Meals,” “Rachael Ray’s Tasty Travels,” and “Rachael Ray’s Kids Cook-Off.”
