At the hearing, McFadden, general counsel for the House of Commons, said at the hearing that the Treasury has a clear legal obligation to turn over the documents it wants, even if the politicians are out of office. “Our feeling is enough. The law is clear,” he said.
It is not clear if the Treasury Department under Biden will allow the House to return.
