Trump threatens Blasio with federal intervention after violent weekend

President Trump has threatened to send the feds to intervene in New York City following the rise in shootings that killed at least seven people and injured more than 50 in less than a week in the Big Apple.

“Law and order. If @NYCMayor can not, we will!” The president tweeted Sunday night, retweeting some of the recent massacre.

Twenty-one victims were shot in 40 separate incidents across the five districts from Friday through Sunday, according to NYPD data Monday morning. Seven people were killed.

Those statistics are up from eight casualties in eight shooting incidents in the same period last year. Five of those shooters were murderers.

The crime wave has a bloodbath of 62 total shootings, up from 26 gun incidents over the same period of one week last year.

City Hall spokesman Bill Neidhardt attacked Trump for the threat.

“This tweet comes just a few hours after an RT of the president calling for ‘leaving Democrat cities’. Let them rot, ” Neidhardt tweeted. “The only thing rolling is Trump’s mind.”
