President Donald Trump reported that Jews are more loyal to their religion than other interests, and to repeat the accusation, which has long been opposed to anti-Semitic protests.

In a new report from the Washington Post on Wednesday, Trump told officials in his administration that “Jews are in it just for themselves” and “live together.”

More than two dozen Trump administration officials spoke to The Post about the president’s views on the race and described the racist remarks he made while in office.

According to officials, the characteristics of the Jewish president also occurred as soon as the phone rang with the Jewish legislators.

Trump’s remarks add to the list of similar statements he has made about Jews in the past, referring to Israel when he said during a conference call with American Jews that “we love your country.”

He also told an audience of Jewish Americans that Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel is “your prime minister” and “betrayed” the so-called Democrat Jews.

The idea that Jews have greater allegiance to their religion than their country, otherwise known as “dual loyalty”, is widely considered to be anti-Semitic.

Many American Jews have condemned Trump’s orders and pointed to a history of violence and persecution that Jews faced as evidence of what such rhetoric could lead to.

Also in the Washington Washington Post are comments between Trump and some of his senior officials in Charlottville, Va. The town and soon met by anti-government protesters, leading to violence in which many were injured and one person was killed.

“Both sides were good people,” Trump later said. There was a heated exchange with Trump following a statement from White House economic adviser Gary Cohen at the time.

“You didn’t just say that, you kept doubling down on it,” Cohen said, according to The Post. “And if you want, I’ll get the transcripts.”

White House Chief of Staff John Kelly is also reported to have criticized Trump at the time.

“You have to fix this,” he said. “You were supporting the white supremacists. You have to go back and fix this.”
