Trump says he “doesn’t recover” from Covid-19 without antibody cocktail

  • President Donald Trump said during a meeting with talk-radio host Rush Limboho on Friday that he had doubts about whether he could recover from Covid-19.
  • Trump said he “recovered instantly, almost immediately,” then added that he “wouldn’t have recovered at all from Covid” if he hadn’t been for Reginal’s experimental antibody cocktail.
  • Limboho, who won the Presidential Medal of Freedom in February, was hosting Trump for a “virtual rally.”
  • Earlier I claimed he didn’t need to go to the hospital for treatment though Trump said in a second round, “I wasn’t in much shape.”

President Donald Trump indicated on Friday that he was concerned about the early announcement of his Covid-19, and told talk-radio host Rush Limboho that he thought Regenron’s experimental antibody cocktail was the one that turned things around.

“I wasn’t in much shape,” Trump told Limboff, who was awarded the nation’s highest civilian honor, the Presidential Medal of Independence, in February.

But the president said he “recovered immediately, almost immediately.” He added that they probably wouldn’t have “corrected exactly from COVID” if they weren’t for the antibody cocktail.

Trump’s remarks were a departure from the fact that he presented his COVID-19 diagnosis, insisting he only went to the hospital as a precaution.

During a call-in interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity on Thursday night, Trump fell asleep and had to clear his throat.

The status of Trump’s coronavirus remains unclear, with the White House refusing to disclose when it last tested negative.

At one point during an interview on Friday, Limboff noted that Trump argued that the president had recovered, that he had walked for an hour and 40 minutes without taking a break or gathering his thoughts.

Trump also incorrectly suggested that the treatments he took were “cures” for coronavirus.

The interview, dubbed the “Virtual Rally,” was the president’s third long call-in interview, spanning two days. In addition to some of the videos posted on his Twitter account from the White House on Monday, Trump has not appeared on camera.
