President Trump live-tweeted Joe Biden as the former vice president Thursday night formally accepted the Democratic presidential nomination.
“In 47 years, Joe did none of the things he’s talking about now,” the president wrote on Twitter. “He will never change, just become!”
The count came when Biden, 77, delivered the largest speech of his political career nearly out of Delaware at the 2020 Democratic National Convention, 48 years after he first ran for the Senate.
In his address, the former vice president said the nation was not “just a collection of conflicting interests in red states as well as blue states.”
But he also slammed Trump, accusing him of ‘flattering dictators’ and ‘the flames of hatred and division’.
“He will wake up every day believing the job is all about him, never about you,” Biden said.
Trump, 74, will be formally named as his party’s candidate during the virtual Republican National Convention next week.
