Trump rejected the Nevada government with a rally near Las Vegas

President Trump held an indoor rally Sunday night at a warehouse outside Las Vegas where he called the state governor a “political hack” and urged him to “open up your state.”

Speaking to thousands of supporters lined up inside Henderson’s plant, Trump targeted government Steve Sisolak – who organized a rally for the president in violation of a state order restricting gatherings to 50 people.

Trump told the audience, “You currently have a governor who is a political hack.” “Tell your governor, by the way, to open up your kingdom. Open your state. ”

The state economy operates on a per-county basis based on their individual coronavirus risk levels.

In Las Vegas, Clark County, for example, casinos and restaurants operate at 50 percent capacity. But bars and towers in the county remain closed.

All counties must comply with the state’s mitigation order, which includes wearing face masks and restricting gatherings of more than 50 people.

The president’s decision to hold a Sunday night rally – his second in several days with more than 500 people in Nevada – was described by Sisolak as “careless and selfish.”

“President Donald Trump is taking reckless and selfish steps that are endangering the lives of countless people here in Nevada,” Sisolak said in a statement. “The president seems to have forgotten that this country is still in the midst of a global epidemic.”

Trump assured his supporters on Sunday night that he would return them in case any issues arose from participating in the indoor rally.

“If the governor comes after you, which he shouldn’t do, I’ll be with you all the way, I’ll be with you all the way, don’t worry about anything.”
