Trump Raises Election Delay, Says Election Fraud Risks Amid Viruses | Trump News

US President Donald Trump first raised the possibility of delaying the November presidential election in the United States on Thursday.

Trump raised the issue of a delay on Twitter and no evidence Claimed Risks of Mail Fraud.

Trump tweeted Thursday: “With universal mail voting (not absentee voting, which is good), 2020 will be the most INACTIVE and FRAUDULENT election in history. It will be a great shame for the United States. Delaying the election until that people can vote correctly and safely ??? ”

Trump has made repeated accusations that further mail voting will lead to fraud. Many states and localities in the US are moving to use mail ballots to prevent the risks of coronavirus infection.

Congress sets federal election dates, which is unlikely to act, and the United States Constitution does not foresee a delay in the inauguration of the next president on January 20, 2021.

There is no evidence of widespread voter fraud through postal voting, even in states with postal ballots.

Trump follows his Democratic challenger Joe Biden in U.S. public opinion polls.
