Former Republican supporter of Biden
In two open letters published online, former associates for Republican presidential candidates John McCain and Mitt Romney have said they have support for Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden.
More than 100 employees of the late senator, John McCain, signed a letter entitled “McCain Alums for Joe Biden,” which addressed the alleged “self-interest of President Donald Trump.
“Given the lack of empowered presidential powers, his attempt to increase divisions among Americans instead of bridging them, and his failure to uphold American values, we believe the election of former Vice President Biden is clear in the national interest, “states her letter.
In another letter, current and former aides to Senator Mitt Romeny said “another four years of a Trump presidency will make this country morally bankrupt” because they also endorse the Democratic candidate.
Mr Trump has long been at odds with the McCain family, while criticizing Mr Romney for being the only Republican senator to support Mr Trump’s allegations earlier this year.
