Trump says Scaramucci is a ‘loser’
Donald Trump hit back at his former White House communications director, Anthony Scaramucci, for suggesting that the president made Republicans “a minority party for a generation.”
In a Twitter post on Sunday night, Mr. Trump called Mr. Scaramucci “a loser begging to come back” – referring to the fact that he held the position of communications director for only 10 days in 2017.
Mr. Scaramucci had told Fox News host Steve Hilton that the US economy was “turned upside down” amid the coronavirus pandemic before President Trump attacked.
“The current demographic base of the Republican Party under President Trump’s will become a generation party for a generation if we do not widen that tent and include people who do not look like me and you,” Mr Scaramucci said.
Mr. Trump revealed he saw the show when he dismissed his tweet last night.
The former White House communications director, who supported the president before turning against him in public, had his own words.
He said in a Tweet that Mr. Trump was the “real loser”, thanks to the death toll from the coronavirus.
“162,000 dead, 40 million American jobs lost on your watch. We are tired of all the losses. We wanted you to succeed, but you are an objective failure. Fortunately, it will be over by 11/3. America will heal and rebuild , “wrote Mr. Scaramucci.
