Former President Donald Trump told Fox News on Tuesday that if the rumors surrounding Meghan Markle’s possible 2024 presidential bid had come true, he would have had an “even more intense sense of running” in the next election.
Trump was told to pay attention to reports that in an exclusive interview with “Fox News Primetime” host Maria Bertiromo, Markel could seek a run for president.
“Mr. President, now what was Meghan Markle saying – by meeting with Democratic operatives, would they want to run for president?” Bertiromo asked.
Meghan Markle for President?
The Daily Mail quoted an anonymous UK politician over the weekend as claiming that Markle was meeting with Democratic operatives to explore possible bids for the presidency in 2024.
“I hope it happens. If it did, I think I would have a stronger feeling about running,” Trump told Bertiromo. The former president will not confirm that he planned to run again in 2024 in the first phase of the interview.
However he told Bertiromo that he is not a “fan” of Merkel because she talks about the royal family and the queen.
“I think, I know the queen, as you know. I’ve met the queen and I think the queen is a tremendous person, and I’m not a fan of Meghan.”
Trump’s senior communications adviser, Jason Miller, revealed in an interview Wednesday on Steve Benn’s “Wa Room Room” podcast that Trump told Markle after his bombshell interview with headline-grabbing Oprah Winfrey earlier this month.

“She’s not well …” Miller said, referring to the former commander-in-chief’s remarks.
“I said that, and now everyone is watching,” Trump said, according to the report.
