Trump-loving Republicans rebel against Republican governors re-closing bars during pandemic

Trump-loving Texas Governor Greg Abbott faces a backlash from staunch conservatives who are upset that he’s ordering bars in the state to be closed again to stop the spread of the new coronavirus.

In an announcement made Friday morning, Abbott said he is ordering the closing of bars and asking restaurants to reduce their capacities to 50 percent occupancy until the disease transmission rate drops.

Abbott is also closing rafting and tubing businesses in the state that have been identified as the main sources of infection, and is also imposing new restrictions on social gatherings of 100 or more people.

Abbott’s order comes as hospitals in Houston, Austin and other major Texas cities have warned that they are running out of space in their intensive care units to handle the influx of patients with COVID-19.

Despite this, many conservatives expressed angry anger at the Texas governor, whom they accused of “collapsing” on the left in trying to save lives.

Take a look at some reactions below.

I have been an advocate for you, but this is outrageous. You cannot continue destroying lives when we know that the death rate is low.

Why has no one mentioned the thousands who gathered at the protests as a possible cause of the increase in numbers? There was ZERO social distancing … and don’t say masks, bc. If the masks really worked that well, would nursing homes allow visitors ???

But, nevertheless, TX could host the funeral spectacle, riots and protests. Speleology on the left.
