Trump loses the judge’s ruling to quash foundation for tax records

The Manhattan DA bureau is seeking Trump’s personal and business returns.

A federal judge has rejected an attempt by President Donald Trump to return a speech for his taxes back as part of an investigation into household payments to women who hired cases, which Trump has long denied.

The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office held Trump’s accounting firm, Mazars, for eight years worth of the president’s personal and business tax return.

The investigation seeks bank and tax fraud, according to previous court filings.

Trump had claimed immunity from the crackdown, but the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in June that he was not immune from the state’s criminal investigations.

Asked about the verdict in a photo from the Oval Office on Thursday, Trump said, “we will probably return to the Supreme Court,” dismissing the legal battle as an extension of what he considers a political “witch hunt.”

“What the Supreme Court has done is say, if it’s a fishing expedition, you – my interpretation is actually that you do not have to do it. That, we will probably return to the Supreme Court,” he said.

“This is a continuation of the most disgusting witch in the history of our country. Everything is it. The Supreme Court said a fishing expedition. This is the ultimate fishing expedition. Nobody has anything. We are not doing things wrong, ‘Trump said. “It’s a shame. This could never happen again. ”
