Trump ignores the question when asked if he regrets ‘all the lies you’ve done’

“Do you regret all those lies you have done to the American people?” HuffPost reporter SV Dáte asked.

“All that?” Trump asked.

“All lies. All dishonesty,” Dáte said.

“That who did?” Trump asked.

“You did,” Dáte replied.

The president paused for a moment, then called on another reporter without addressing the question.

Trump has made false and misleading statements throughout his presidency, and did so again Thursday in the first half of his briefing when he made exaggerated or inaccurate claims about presumptive Democratic presidential nominees. The Washington Post reported in mid-July that Trump had made 20,000 false or misleading claims during his presidency. The president has made nearly 1,000 such claims over the coronavirus pandemic in recent months, the Post found.

“For five years I wanted to ask him that,” Dáte after the briefing tweeted.
