Trump family holds funeral service for Brother Robert at White House

Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump and her family attended a White House funeral when the body of the president’s late brother Robert Trump was laid to rest on Friday.

Robert Trump, the president’s younger brother, died on August 16.

He was 71. Details about his illness have not been released.

Pipe pipes were playing next to the procession as pallets carried Robert Trump’s coffin in a quiver waiting at the White House’s North Portico. A service was held in the East Chamber, which is seldom used for funerals. A service was held at that location for former President John F Kennedy after his assassination in 1963.

In 1936, when Franklin D Roosevelt was in the service of his political adviser Louis Howe.

Robert Trump was one of four of the president’s relatives and had served as executive vice president of the Trump Organization.

The president visited his brother at the hospital in New York prior to his death. In a statement, the president said: “He was not only my brother, he was my best friend. He will be greatly missed, but we will meet again.

“His memory will live in my heart forever,” he said. ‘Robert, I love you. Rest in peace.”

Although he did not disclose the cause of his brother’s death, Mr. Trump told reporters that his brother had “had a hard time” in recent months.
