Trump escort abruptly from White House press release, returns to say there was a ‘shooting’ outside


President Trump was abruptly removed from the White House letterbox on Monday, just minutes after taking the pop stage for a press release, but soon returned to tell reporters, “There was a shooting outside the White House. . “

The president described what he knew about the situation, saying it ‘looks like’ an armed person has been shot by Secret Service and taken to hospital. Trump said no one else was injured.

“It looks like the shooting was done by legislation,” he said.

Several minutes after taking the stage first, someone – who was an agent of the Secret Service – told the presidencies outside were fired before Trump stopped and walked out of the room.

“Excuse me?” said the president to the agent before he left.

After returning to the pop stage, Trump said a shooting took place outside the White House building near the gate. He said more information will be released later.

The president said he was not taken to the White House bunker, but was previously inducted into the Oval Office.

When a reporter asked the president, “Have you rattled that, Mr. President?”, Trump replied, “I seem to rattle?”

The president then went on to discuss other issues, including the stock market and the coronavirus crisis.

Fox News’ John Roberts reported that the sound of gunshots was heard outside the White House when the briefing began.

The Secret Service later tweeted: ‘The Secret Service can confirm that there was an officer shooting at 17th Street and Pennsylvania Ave. Legislature officials are on the scene. More information to follow. ”

That intersection is right outside the grounds of the White House.

Several sources told Fox News that there is no credible threat to the Capitol after the White House incident.

Several White House officials and staff, including Ivanka Trump, expressed their appreciation for the Secret Service after the incident.
