Trump defends fierce rhetoric in Fox News’ exclusive interview: “If I did not fight back strongly, I would not be sitting here right now.”


President Trump defends his growing list of controversial media exchanges during an exclusive Fox News interview, telling “The Next Revolution” host Steve Hilton, “I have to fight back.”

In a preview of the Fox News interview that will air on Sunday at 9 a.m. ET, Hilton asked the president if he plans to call the ‘hullabaloo’ if he is elected for a second term.

“If you have been re-elected, you have nothing to prove. You have re-elected. [Should] we expect to see a different style from you? he asked.

“First of all, I understand that 100%, but I’m not treated honestly,” Trump replied. “I have to fight back.

“If I did not fight back strongly, I would not sit here with you now and talk like that. That is not like …,” he trained immediately, before adding, “Gee, I wish it would be calm too . “

Trump demonstrated his response to the coronavirus pandemic and credited his aggressive approach to the country’s progress on vaccine development.

“I would not have gotten it [done] all these things, “he said.” “I can give you a list that is four pages long … Right to try, all the medical things we did … even the faxes,” he said.
