Trump criticizes Biden in epic comments from Rose Garden, former vice president’s campaign has now responded

President Trump deviated from the script on Tuesday after announcing new anti-China legislation to attack Joe Biden over his recent political proposals, accusing the former vice president of aligning his campaign with Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and other progressives. leaders

“Biden has radically gone left,” Trump said. “There was never a time when two candidates were so different.”

Biden’s campaign later responded to Trump’s comments, saying: “Today’s statement was supposed to be about China, but there was one issue that President Trump could not forget: Joe Biden, whose name the president almost invoked 30 times The whole sad thing says more about Donald Trump than he did on any particular topic.

“The American taxpayer must be reimbursed for the abuse of funds that this show represented,” the campaign said, adding that “a true leader,” referring to Biden, spoke earlier in Wilmington.

Trump’s comments come hours after Biden launched a $ 2 trillion plan on Tuesday to boost clean energy investment and stop all climate-damaging emissions from U.S. power plants by 2035.

“When Donald Trump thinks about climate change, the only word he can muster is ‘deception,'” Biden told reporters. “When I think about climate change, what I think about is jobs.” Click here for more information on our main story.

Doug Schoen: What all this means

The St. Louis owner who confronted protesters with a rifle believes Trump intervened to protect his community.

Missouri attorney Mark McCloskey, who along with his wife Patricia brandished legally owned firearms when they confronted Black Lives Matter protesters at their St. Louis home last month, told “Hannity” on Monday. He believes President Trump quietly intervened when protesters returned to his neighborhood for the second time on July 3.

“The second night the people came and the cops were there … I had a source on the ground and I couldn’t confirm it, maybe you can,” host Sean Hannity told McCloskey. “Is it true that President Trump sent people to defend his neighborhood and nobody knew it?”

“That is the information we have,” replied McCloskey. “I think we got help from the top. That night, we had cooperation, I think, from the federal government, the state government, the local police department. That night they all stood up as champions, but it came from top to bottom.”

“I cannot express my appreciation enough for everyone involved,” he added.

McCloskey joined “Hannity” after he told “Tucker Carlson Tonight” that “the rumor is that” he and his wife “will be charged soon” for the June 28 incident that received national attention.

McCloskey said Tuesday that he and his wife “did nothing wrong” in protecting their home and promised that they will not be “intimidated” by authorities who subject them to an investigation. Click for more

The defiant Portland mayor tells the feds to “stay inside” or “leave” the city, and asks DHS to clean up the graffiti

Portland, Oregon, Mayor Ted Wheeler lashed out at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) on Twitter Tuesday, urging federal agents to “stay inside” or “leave” as the city faces its sixth consecutive week of protests and riots.

“I told the Acting Secretary that my greatest immediate concern is the violence that federal agents have brought to our streets in recent days and the life-threatening tactics that his agents use,” Wheeler wrote Tuesday night. “We do not need or want your help.”

DHS deployed officials from various federal law enforcement agencies this month to protect government facilities that include a courthouse and another building.

There were protests across the country after George Floyd’s death on May 25 in Minneapolis police custody. Four officers were fired and charged, including Derek Chauvin, who appeared in a video holding his knee on Floyd’s neck for nearly nine minutes.

Meanwhile, city businesses have reported losses of $ 23 million due to looters and rioters, amid a coronavirus pandemic that is already causing massive economic damage. Click for more
