President Donald Trump on Friday visited the U.S. The Supreme Court has been criticized for rejecting a targeted legal challenge to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.

“The Supreme Court has really taken us down,” he said in a tweet. “No Wisdom, No Courage!”

The lawsuit, filed by the Texas Attorney General and joined by other Republican-led states, seeks to overturn election results in four states: Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Georgia.

The court said Texas lacks a stand to bring the case.

Trump rejected the decision, citing many “wonderful” states and Republican officials who supported the case.

“But, within a flash, without seeing the many reasons it was brought, it is thrown away and goes away,” he said. “A tough election, fight!”

Prior to the ruling, the president had hyped the importance of the case. He had also suggested in the past that the election would be decided in the Supreme Court.

The court currently has a majority of three judges, including three judges appointed by Trump, Justice Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanagh and Amy Connie Barrett.

The legal challenge was a recent attempt by Trump and his allies to stifle the election and was condemned by many as a legally dubious attempt to interfere with judges in the democratic process.

This loss has largely benefited the Trump campaign and other Republican officials who have challenged the election results in court.

Welcoming the Supreme Court’s decision, President-elect Joe Biden said in a statement that the court “recently rejected the recent decisions of Donald Trump and his allies’ attack on the democratic process.
