Trump campaign says Pennsylvania, Arizona, Michigan to hold public hearings on 2020 election

The Trump campaign says state legislatures in Pennsylvania, Arizona and Michigan will hold public hearings to “provide confidence” in the 2020 presidential election that all legal votes have been counted and “illegal votes” have not been counted.

The announcement on Tuesday came after Pennsylvania and Michigan certified the results of this week’s 2020 race in favor of President-elect Joe Biden.

Pennsylvania, Nevada Certified Election Results

The Trump campaign said the Pennsylvania state senate on Wednesday passed the Gettysburg, PA. The first hearing will be held in and the testimony of witnesses will be presented, “who have filed an affidavit regarding the 2020 election fraud.”

The hearing will also feature a presentation Wednesday by former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who serves as President Trump’s personal lawyer and is leading the legal challenges of the campaign around the election.

The Pennsylvania Senate majority tweeted that the hearing was an “informative meeting on 2020 election issues.”

There will also be a hearing in the Arizona Legislature next Monday, Nov. 30, followed by a hearing in the Michigan Legislature on Dec. 1.

“It is in everyone’s interest to fully investigate election irregularities and fraud,” Giuliani said in a statement on Tuesday. “And the only way to do that is to hold a public hearing, complete with witnesses, videos, pictures and other evidence of illegality from the November 3G election.”

Jenna Ellis, a senior legal adviser to the Trump campaign and the president’s personal lawyer, said she was happy the legislature would hold a hearing.

“There were serious irregularities, we have evidence of fraud in a number of states, and it is important for all Americans to have faith in our electoral process,” Ellis said in a statement. “What we need from the beginning is to count every legal vote and allow every illegal vote.”

Trump pointed to a section of the campaign constitution that states legislators have every right to choose their representatives in the electoral oral college, providing crucial protection against voter fraud and election rigging.

“State legislatures are uniquely qualified and located to hold hearings on election irregularities and fraud before elections are held,” the campaign said.

The Michigan Board of State Conveyors voted 3-0 to certify the election results

The hearing was held after the Pennsylvania State Department issued a certificate of election results as early as Tuesday. The Nevada Supreme Court also issued a certificate of results in favor of Biden on Tuesday and Michigan did so on Monday.

“Everyone except Donald Trump, Rudy Giuliani and Jenny Ellis are easily convinced that this election is over and that Biden will win by a landslide,” Bob Bower, a senior adviser to the president, said in a statement on Tuesday.

In Pennsylvania, the Trump campaign filed more than 15 lawsuits, which were rejected because they were “unqualified” and “unsupported by evidence.” .

“Trump did not succeed in Pennsylvania and he will not succeed anywhere else.” Trump’s lawsuits will fail, as he has been in more than 300 cases since election day, states will continue to certify his results, and if Biden is sworn in. President on January 20, 2021. “

The Trump campaign is appealing the removal of a federal judge in an effort to block his credentials in Pennsylvania.

The Third Circuit Court of Appeals granted the campaign’s request for a speedy review of the dismissal, with the judge issuing an injunction ordering the claim of widespread irregularities from the mail-in ballot.

The case was seen as a long shot to prevent Biden’s inauguration, but was one of the Trump campaign’s best hopes of influencing the election results by the courts, which staked 20 state election votes.

U.S. District Court Judge Matthew Byrne wrote in his order that Trump asked the court to exempt nearly a million voters. In search of such a “surprising result”, he said, the plaintiff could be expected to provide compelling legal arguments and “factual evidence of massive corruption”, but “that did not happen.”

The Trump campaign also filed lawsuits in federal courts in Nevada and Arizona earlier this month.

Meanwhile, U.S. The General Services Administration has acknowledged Biden’s victory, and a formal transition is underway in the Biden Administration.

Biden’s transition team is in contact with every federal agency by Tuesday afternoon, and is expected to receive the president’s daily summary soon, which was given the green light by the White House, two administration officials told Fox News.
