While Donald Trump continues to slide in the polls against Joe Biden, the president still remains ahead between two demographic groups: male and white voters, but the alleged Democratic candidate is still ahead of almost all other demographic groups.
Overall, if elections were held today, Biden would win 49 percent of the vote, which is 8 percent more than Trump’s 41 percent, according to a Fox News poll published Sunday.
“First of all, I’m not going to lose, because those are bogus polls,” Trump told Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace in a prerecorded interview. ‘They were false in 2016 and now they are even more false. The polls were much worse in 2016. ‘
Trump has continually rejected polls that show Biden won as ‘false’, claiming that they will be shown to be wrong just like what happened in his 2016 victory against Hillary Clinton.
The president also declines to say whether he will voluntarily accept the results if he does not emerge victorious in November.
The same Fox News poll, conducted July 12-15, reveals that when it comes to male voters, Trump is up 5 percentage points, but among female voters, Biden leads the president by 9 points.
Donald Trump continues to lead Joe Biden among white and male voters, as a new poll on Sunday shows the president loses 8 percent to the presumptive Democratic candidate if elections are held today.
Trump dismissed the poll during an interview with Fox News that aired Sunday morning. “First of all, I’m not losing, because those are false polls,” said Trump.
White voters are also much more likely to vote for Trump over Biden in the November election – those with a college degree by 3 percent and without a title by 9 percentage points.
Biden is ahead of Trump among all other races.
A whopping 64 percent of black voters say they would vote for Biden over Trump, while the Democrat is ahead of Hispanic voters by 30 percent.
During his recorded interview with Wallace, which aired Sunday morning, Trump criticized the vote by mail, alleging it could lead Democrats to manipulate the election results.
The Fox News poll, however, reveals that only 15 percent of voters want elections to be held in person.
31% are in favor of an option that allows voting both in person and remotely, or by mail, and 25% want elections to be held by mail.
Wallace asked if he feels mail ballots are more susceptible to fraud if he does not accept the election results if mail ballot measures were used and if he lost to Biden.
‘I have to see. Look, Hillary Clinton asked me the same thing, ‘Trump said in an attempt to divert. ‘And you know what? She is the one who never accepted it.
“She never accepted her loss and she seems like a fool,” the president said of the 2016 loser.
“But can you give a direct answer to the choice?” Wallace pushed.
‘No, I’m not going to say yes. I’m not going to say no, and I didn’t do it last time either, ” he finally acknowledged during the powerful interview.
The president also criticized the vote by mail during his interview, alleging that it would lead to an increased likelihood of electoral fraud and a fraudulent election.
When Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace (right) asked if Trump would accept the results if he lost and mail ballots were used, the president diverted
‘No, I’m not going to say yes. I’m not going to say no, and I didn’t do it the last time either, ” Trump said after claiming that Hillary Clinton never accepted the 2016 election results.
Biden’s campaign responded to comments by stating: “The American people will decide this election.”
“And the United States government is perfectly capable of escorting intruders outside the White House,” the statement continued.
Among voters 18-30 years old, 58 percent said they would vote for Biden to 22 percent who said their votes would be cast for Trump.
While 11 percent more independents said they would vote for Biden over Trump, most of that demographic, with 42 percent saying they either don’t know who they vote for, won’t vote at all in the 2020 presidential election or would vote by someone other than the Democratic or Republican candidate.
Two other demographics in which Trump, 74, is experiencing an advantage, are among those registered in rural areas, at 9 percent, and among voters older by 1 percentage point over Biden, 77.
Biden is winning Trump among suburban voters by 11 percent.
Of the 1,104 registered voters who were surveyed, 45 percent approve of the job Trump is doing as president, but seven percent of the respondents say they would endorse Biden in November.
‘Whether in 2021 or 2025, how will you consider your years as President of the United States?’ Wallace asked during his White House one-on-one interview with Trump.
“I think I was treated unfairly,” said the president. ‘Before before he won, he was being investigated by a group of thieves, criminals. It was an illegal investigation.
