The White House is showing a “breakthrough” over a therapeutic coronavirus that President Trump will announce at a news conference Sunday night.

Trump will make the announcement alongside Secretary of Health and Human Services Alex Azar and Food and Drug Administration Director Stephen Hahn.
Earlier Saturday, Trump accused the FDA of delaying possible treatments for coronavirus to disrupt its re-election campaign.
“The deep state, or whatever, at the FDA makes it very difficult for drug companies to get people to test the vaccines and therapeutics. Of course, they hope to delay the response until after November 3rd. Must focus on speed, and save lives! ”Trump tweeted.
The FDA stopped last week an emergency service approval for blood plasma as a treatment for the disease.
Chamber member Nancy Pelosi called Trump’s remarks “extremely dangerous.”
“The FDA has a responsibility to approve drugs, to judge their safety and effectiveness, not by a White House statement on FDA speed and politicization,” Pelosi told a news conference Saturday on Capitol Hill.
