Trump accuses Democrats of ‘trying to steal the election’ with intent to vote by mail

In an exclusive interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity, President Trump claimed Thursday that Democrats are “trying to steal the election” by their fierce support for and facilitation of massive post-in balloting.

“They’re talking about sending 51 million ballots to everyone who, you know, no one knows who’s getting them,” the president said of “Hannity.” “It’s a terrible thing. It’s a fraudulent election. Everyone knows it, you do not even have to know the politics to know it.

“Fifty-one million votes will be sent inadvertently to people who do not agree to ask them, people who will say, ‘Hey, I just got a vote, that’s great, let me vote,’ and it is a terrible thing. “

Trump contrasted repeated post-balloting with absent balloting, describing the latter process as safer and more regimental.

“A lot of people use absenteeism … but that’s when you go through a process,” he said. “You ask for it, they send it to you, and it’s very safe. There’s nothing like going to the voter’s coffin … but being absent is good.

“But they want to send, it’s called post-in, universal post-in, universal post-in-votes, 51 million votes sent to … who knows who?” Trump added. “I mean, you know, where are they going? This is going to be the biggest scam in history. This is going to be the most fraudulent election in history. It’s a terrible thing. They’re trying to steal the election.

The president has run the U.S. House Democratic primary race several times in his former home district on the East Side of Manhattan, where Trump Tower is located.

Two weeks ago, the Associated Press projected that introduced Rep. Carolyn Maloney, DN.Y. had defeated progressive activist and former Obama campaign teams Suraj Patel. Since then, Patel has refused to confess, and a New York federal judge has recently ordered previously invalid votes to be counted at the top of the current number.

Trump said that race shows that post-in balloting on a national scale will be a “terrible thing” November.

“It’s impossible. [Maloney’s race] was packed like this week and week – and they declare themselves just like winners, but they have no idea where the ballot papers are, “he said.

He added that the New York election also shows that there is no problem with the United States Postal Service, contrary to what Democrats believe.

“It’s what happens to these votes when they are sent. To whom are they sent? Where are they going? Are you talking about massive numbers,” Trump said, adding that “Carolyn Maloney should not accept that position. She declared her a winner over a man [Patel] who just looks around and says, ‘What happened?’ He thought he won.

“They would have to do the elections again in Manhattan,” Trump continued. “It’s a shame, that election – but that was post-vote. And that was a very small election.”
